Saseen; Georgia's Oldest Bail Bonds Company
Saseen Bonding Company was founded in 1922 by Freda and Isaac Saseen. Originally the company was in the Saseen Grocery Store in downtown Savannah, on Price and McDonough Street. In 1932 the company moved to Oglethorpe and Habersham, across from the jail and police station. For many years bail bonds were issued by Freda and Isaac’s sons, Robert and Eddie Saseen. In 1980 the office moved again, this time to Montgomery Street across from the Chatham County Jail and Courthouse. The company remained at that location for 25 years before moving to their present location. Since 2007 Saseen Bonding has been located on Carl Griffin Drive, just steps from the Chatham County Detention Center. Today the bail bonds are provided by the grandsons of Freda and Isaac, Rob and Johnny. They are the third generation of the Saseen family to own and operate the company.
The Company Opens Two Additional Bail Bonds Locations
In 1999 the company expanded when the cousins purchased Akins Bail Bonds in Statesboro, Georgia. The owners wanted to keep the existing name Akins in the title and so Akins & Saseen Bonding was born. They have proudly served Bulloch and and surrounding counties with outstanding 24/7 customer service. It wasn't long before our final expansion took place with their expansion into Effingham county. In 2007 the grandsons opened Saseen Bonding of Effingham in Springfield Georgia. The Saseen family has been providing bail bonds for the greater savannah area for over 90 years. This makes them the oldest, family owned and operated provider of bail bonds in Savannah.
